Losing weight is probably the most difficult game in the world. It’s not as easy as putting on the pounds, to be honest. It’s a struggle a lot of people face day to day. However, like any other game, there is a way you can win it. You can do so by working out and eating right. Don’t worry you can cheat once a week! Here’s how you can lose weight without removing the fun element.
Do it with a group of friends.

Organize runs for your group or have everyone enrol in a gym together. The best way to motivate each other is by going and committing to it. You can cheer each other up during every struggle you face on the treadmill. 😉 Continue reading
When you’re bummed out at work, thinking of binge eating and sleeping comes to mind. It always seems like a good idea to stay in bed with a bag of chips in one hand, and of course one season of The Walking Dead playing on the telly. Though that can be fun but doing other things for a change – the good kind. Doing other things than what you usually do opens you for other opportunities like meet new friends and maybe even the love of your life.
Here are three fun things you can do alone or with your friends.
Explore a new town.

Why not see another town on foot? See the place through a local’s eyes. Try their hole-in-the-wall restaurants or just sit on a park bench watching the world go by. Research on what the locals usually eat and visit – there are tons of reviews online. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with falling in love with another town. 😉
Visit your parents.

If you live far from them, a nice visit would be a good surprise for them especially if you haven’t seen them in a while. Go back to your childhood. Play on your trampoline. A little trip down to memory lane is always a good way to know yourself better and see how far you’ve come. Continue reading
Toddlers can get quite a handful. Each one is different. Raising them is a daily challenge for mum and dad. Finding ways to keep them entertained is something definitely not petty. You have to constantly switch things up because they get tired easily of things. They may like this toy one day and hate it the next. To keep them stimulated throughout the day, with naps in between of course, here are some fun activities you can do with them.

Get them some sidewalk chalk and make a mural on your garage or driveway. Make sure to be with them so they won’t run to the road. This helps them develop their motor skills and creativity as well.
Read them a book. Don’t forget to bring out your puppets and other props. Having these things will make them more attentive to the story. Helps them retain it too. After you do so, ask them to tell you a story too. That is, if they’re not yet sleeping!
Jumping on the trampoline.

Bouncing on it is great exercise for them and for you as well. This is okay for kids since it doesn’t create a big impact on their joints. It’s a way to teach them balance and coordination as well. Continue reading
Hosting your first (or nth) backyard picnic is never easy. You have to think of a lot of things. What to eat, what theme you’d go for, how many chairs and tables you need. The list just goes on and on. You’d want everybody to have fun and be well-fed. That’s the best way to know if the picnic is a success.
If you’re still quite confused how and what to do on your backyard shindig, here are a few things you need to do.
Plan a menu.

You’d want to serve food that compliments each other. If you’re going to serve steak, make sure you have all the side dishes you need. Mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, the works! If you’re going for a pot luck, then ask your guests to bring a chicken, beef or veggie dish or maybe even a dessert.
Clean your trampoline.

Pretty sure your buddies are planning to play on your backyard trampoline. Make sure there are no leaves or other debris that can damage your mat or hurt your guests. No one wants to have the first aid kit out of the house because of a little something. Continue reading
Throwing a party at your house can be quite tricky especially if you’re not used to it yet. It can be harder when your friends have kids around. Not everyone is armed and ready for a bag full of tricks to entertain kids. Here’s a quick round up of fun activities kids will enjoy.

Every kid loves to colour. Give them a bunch of crayons and fun colouring books. You can also find colouring pages on the Internet and print them so they’ll each have their own. They can bring their masterpieces home after, too!
Let them play.

Having a backyard trampoline has a big advantage. Kids enjoy jumping and this will wear them out after. Who doesn’t enjoy the company of napping child? Just make sure they are well supervised by an adult at all times.
Hire a magician.

For kids, a party isn’t a party without a magician who can make animals out of balloons. They’ll love figuring out how “magic” works.
Once you’ve got the child entertainment down, it will be easier the next time they’re around. You’ll also have the chance of being the best aunt or uncle they have.
